Our Approach

The SatoriWest Center for Advanced Living and Wellness unravels an ancient secret: how to soar beyond your destiny -to create a life more fulfilling than you can imagine. A life with the most wellness you are capable of. A vibrant natural high. An experience of life, free from nagging or erupting negative emotions, easy and fluid, spontaneous and authentic, where you can experience the amazement of being alive each moment!

What is this ancient secret? There are two key ingredients: first, an unique, integrative and transformative approach borrowed from spiritual disciplines, but reconsidered in modern terms of brain functioning and wellness. It's called Neural-Wellness Inshifting (NWI). The second ingredient is a one-of-a-kind program to make the NWI approach come alive for you, called The LifeClub. It's one-stop-shopping for wellness and self-improvement that ensures you have all the main ingredients human need to make radical changes in their lives (such as coaching, professional guidance, small teams, workshops, retreats, and a transformative place and culture.

NWI is centered around a skill called Neural Inshifting (NI) - a modern take on an ageless way of experiencing one's self and life- that shows you how to activate your higher over your lower brain. (The norm is for the lower brain to dominate the higher brain.) This activation is done by teaching you how to regulate your experience, thoughts and actions. Then, it shows how dozens of coordinated strategies from within six spheres of wellness and self-improvement can make Inshifting easier to learn or to happen more naturally.

Listen to Dr. Skolnick's audio presentation on Inshifting practices:

The premise is this: We all have a higher and lower part of our brain. When the lower parts dominate (which it does in the vast majority of people), all the things arise that we associate with the “human condition,” such as:

  • Stress,
  • Struggle,
  • Insecurity,
  • Fear,
  • Sadness,
  • Emptiness,
  • Indecision,
  • Compulsive behavior,
  • Chronic anger,
  • Role rigidity,
  • Most physical illnesses...

When the higher parts dominate, great things happen, we:

  • Act authentically,
  • Feel free,
  • Use talents to their fullest,
  • Manage crises with context,
  • Have insight into others and the self,
  • Show maturity and wisdom,
  • Experience the amazement of realizing the magnitude of what it means to be alive and aware,
  • Feel belonging and unity with the world around us,
  • Experience the love and intense gratitude for all of existence...
